Dawson currently serves as the Deputy Chief, Real Estate Division, Mobile District for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he’s fully responsible for assisting the Chief of Real Estate to assure the planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating work for employees in the District Office and project offices, which includes Realty Officers, Realty Specialists, Appraisers, Foresters, Cartographic Technicians, and administrative clerical employees. He was acknowledged for his exceptional leadership and service as he successfully managed and led a regional team of Real Estate professionals spanning six geographic Districts in the NAD’s area of operations. Min. Dawson has served in numerous capacities in the community including youth football coach, vice president (football booster club) at a local high school, mentoring students from elementary schools to colleges, etc. He is a graduate of Bishop State Community College, where he received an associate degree in Business Administration. He earned two bachelor’s degrees (Organizational Management/Christian Leadership & Ministry) from the University of Mobile. Currently, he is focused on a master’s degree in biblical & theological studies. Min. Dawson is married to LaTonia, and they have four children (Frederick, Terrance, JaQouri and Kaleia). He dedicated one-year writing inspirational daily devotionals for the Outreach Ministries for You (OMFY). He’s an author, a member of Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church and an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (Mobile Alumni)
